Shenyang Normal University welcomes all new foreign students to study. In order to help you adjust to your studies and life here, the enrollment procedures can be found online.
Arrival
New incoming students can be picked up at the airport or train station of their arrival. Students who need to be picked up should contact the office in advance and provide the necessary information, including arrival location and time, flight or train number, nationality (of the student), his/her English or Chinese name, and any other relevant information. If your flight or train is delayed, please contact the International Dept. as soon as possible with the information of the delay.

2.Time Arrangement
A. Time of picking up and registering
(1) Chinese Government Scholarship students : August 25th-29th
(2) Confucius Institute Scholarship students: August 25th -30th
(3) Self-sponsoring students(language students ,undergraduate students and postgraduate students): August 25th-29th
(4) Exchange students: August 25th- 29th
B. The arrangement of Chinese Government Scholarship students
（1）Reporting in different colleges: September 1st -5th
（2）Beginning new classes: September 1st
C. The arrangement of Non-degree students (language students)
(1) Classes arrangement examinations: August 26th-27th
(2) Publishing the name list of different classes, the curriculum and getting the notebooks: August 29th
(3) Beginning the new courses: September 1st
3. Thing needs to be known for foreign students to report arrival.
Foreign students should take the offer, the Visa Application for Study in China(JW202/JW201),and passport(original) to report your arrivals. If you can not report your arrival, please tell us the reason and apply for the leave procedures.
The procedure of registering
1. Go to International Education College to do the registering, show your offer and the Visa Application for Study in China. Your passport will be checked and you also need give two two-inch bareheaded photos.
2. Taking the form of the Application of ShenYang Normal University foreign students enrollment and the Shenyang Normal University Resume. Finishing the document of ShenYang Normal University foreign student, paying for the tuition fee, the registration fee, the insurance fee, the accommodation and other fee.
3. Foreign students who want to live on campus please check in the apartment and take in the form of SYNU foreign student apartment and pay 300 RMB as the deposit (200 for the room and 100 for the key to the room). Get the key and check the things in the room. Students without blankets can rent for them in the reception desk. The price is 100RMB(plus another 100RMB as the deposit)
4. Things need to know for foreign students about the physical examination.
Foreign students with X visa and the period is over 6 months have to go to ShenYang entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau to do the physical examination or check the result of your physical examination or you can not apply for the residence permit of the people’s Republic of China.(Students must pay for the physical examination by their own)
Things to be taken when do the physical examination;
1. The passport and a copy one.
2. All the health material about foreign students in their own countries.(with the local hospital’s mark or signature and the identification of Chinese embassy) including
a. Foreigners physical examination record. (Original)
b. The result of chemical examination.(Original)
c. The X -ray film.(Original)

5.Things needs to be known for foreign students about applying for all kinds of related documents
A. All the foreign students must go to the department of entry-exit of ShenYang Police Bureau to apply for the residence permission in 30 days from the day to come to China. Students who do not apply in center time will be punished according to the law. Take the following things when you apply for the residence permission.
1.Passport(provided by students)
2.The application of visa( provided by SYNU)
3.The certificate of enrollment(provided by SYNU)
4.The copy of the front page of your passport and the visa page
5. The offer(provided by SYNU)
6.JW202(provided by SYNU)
7. The report of physical examination (provided by ShenYang entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau)
8.The accommodation registration form（provided by SYNU for students who live on campus and those live off campus will provide by themselves）
9.The fee for the visa（paid by students with RMB）
B.Students who want to postpone or change the residence permission have to ask the allowance of SYNU, and students themselves go to the department of entry-exit of ShenYang Police Bureau in person 30 days ahead. Students who do not apply in time will be fined 500.00RMB each day
C. When students’ visa date and address change, students must go to the police station to register. SYNU is under the jurisdiction of DaoYi Police station, ShenBei new district, ShenYang city. Students who live off campus please ask your landlords about the police stations.
D. Students have to take care of your visas and all kinds of documents and do not alter or destroy them. When you lost them, please go to the police station to register.
The procedure of making up passports and visas：
Reporting in the police station, getting related materials from SYNU, going to the Embassy in China to make up passport, going to the department of entry-exit of ShenYang Police Bureau to make up the residence permission.

B. The price of accommodation(paid with RMB)
12000yuan/year for a double bed room, 24000yuan/year for a single bed room, not including vacations. The price of room during the vocation is 50 yuan each day. Every room get use 170 kilowatt-hour of electricity for free. Students have to pay 0.85yuan for each kilowatt-hour after using 170 kilowatt-hour

C. Insurance fee: 600yuan/each year. All the registered students must pay for the insurance which covers major illnesses and accidental injury.
D. Health examination fee: RMB 683 Per person (which might be more, if the health examination result provided by your homeland is not approved by the Chinese Inspection and Quarantine Department, you have to be reexamined or do any certain supplement items)
E.)Visa fee: RMB 400 within 1 year, RMB 800 between 1-3 years, RMB 1000 between 3-5 years. (subject to changes)
If students drop out or are expelled, the tuition can not be returned. Students who come back in the middle of semester need to pay the full tuition. the accommodation fee is paid by day.
C. The tuition fee and accommodation fee should be paid in the first month of each semester. The deadline is the first two month of each semester.
Students who do not pay for tuition and accommodation fee will be regarded as voluntary dropouts

A. Dining hall
There is a foreign affairs restaurant and other restaurants in the north, east and south of the school. Students can use cashes to buy food. Basis, there are two public kitchens in the international building, students can cook for themselves.

There is a laundry room on the each floor of the international building. Students can buy the laundry coins to do the laundry.
